“It’s a boy!” exclaims Christopher’s father.   
“Oh, I feel good things are going to happen for him,” says the mother.   
“I wonder what things are destined for this boy.”   
A few years later, Christopher and Jones are out in the park and decide to play on the swings.   
“Push harder!” shouts Christopher.   
“I’m pushing as hard as I can,” says Jones, “Man, why don’t you push me for a change?”

Girl Brought Down World 20-24Chapter Twenty: Edge   
Christopher sits at his desk and rests his head on the table. He was so close to having his virginity curse lifted. He feels nothing. He doesn’t want to rest. The next morning, he is perky as ever, ready to get Melanie and have his future wife and daughter.   
A few weeks pass and he continues to declare his search. He continues to play video games while he waits for the results.   
“We need to find Melanie!” he shouts.   
“Sir, it’s been three weeks. No one has reported any sighting of them,” the janitor explains.

Girl Brought Down World 15-19Chapter Fifteen: Alamo   
Kid has been crying non-stop since Vivian has been captured. The amount of used tissues that pile up on the car floor almost matches Christopher’s own level of filth.   
“It’s not fair!” Kid cries as she continues to be comforted by Mimi, “Why do these things keep happening?”   
“God will not make us bear more than we can handle,” Miles quotes, one of the few things he has said ever since Vivian has been captured.

Christopher has thought a lot about his mortality after the magician attempted to kill him. He knows he will not live forever; he hoped to live on to eighty or ninety but now feels with the added stress factor, he might live to only seventy. He takes another sip of his personal soda and opens another can. There are cans strewn all across the floor. He stares at a piece of paper that had been taped together.   
“Now do you understand, Rabbichoso, you always obey your father!” Christopher commands.   
“Yes, father,” Rabbichoso responds.
